Monmouth County implemented a large scale solar project to drive overall sustainability and reduce its long term cost of energy. The ambitious project encompassed four different county facilities and included both solar rooftop and a parking lot canopy installation at the Monmouth County Library. The solar canopy provided a very clean look with a single tilt design,, providing protection from the elements and improved security from the under canopy LED lighting. The County utilized a PPA (Power Purchasing Agreement) for the 2MW project to secure long term energy at a significantly discounted rate.
