RETROFIT: DARIEN LIBRARY
GEOTHERMAL DESIGN HIGHLIGHT

The 65,000 SQFT library sees more than 350,000 patrons visit each year and needed to replace the existing HVAC system to serve the building.

A geothermal system was installed underneath the parking lot to provide 140 tons of heating and cooling.

The system helped the building achieve a LEED Gold certification in 2010.
