CLEAN ENERGY RESEARCH & DATA ANALYST POSITION

Brightcore Energy is looking for a Clean Energy Research & Data Analyst to strengthen our sales strategy and client-facing approach. This role will work closely with several teams across the company and will get exposure to many parts of the renewable energy and energy efficiency business. Brightcore is looking for an individual that is eager to learn more about the clean energy industry and is willing to jump into tasks where needed.  The role is intended to provide the successful candidate a strong overview of all Brightcore activities to enable a potential career progression in operations, marketing or sales.

Position Scope

Individual responsibilities include supporting the sales and marketing team to identify and uncover market opportunities using key market data and client information tools.  The Clean Energy Research & Data Analyst will lead broader business analysis regarding clean energy policy, incentives, and state and municipal mandates.  The Analyst will be participating on both the client-facing sales and marketing teams to help prepare for presentations and proposal development. This role will help create and publish strategic social media content through various platforms to provide education, insight and visibility for Brightcore Energy.  The role will report to the Chief Sales Officer.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support and research to inform strategic account development and relationship management activity. 

  • Provide research on emerging market trends and support client communication regarding the latest approaches to energy efficiency and clean energy solutions.

  • Develop understanding of key applications in the clean energy services arena such as solar, geothermal (ground source heat pumps), EV charging, and energy storage.

  • Work closely with Brightcore sales & marketing teams to prepare for high profile client meetings with targeted research regarding sustainability objectives and potential gaps/challenges.  

  • Provide weekly metrics regarding overall activity to Chief Sales Officer and Director, Client Sustainability.

  • Meet with Chief Sales Officer and Director, Client Sustainability on a weekly basis to review direct research activity, data analysis outcomes & conclusions and potential growth priorities for new resource deployment opportunities.

  • Work closely with Director, Client Sustainability to provide insight on sustainability trends at the corporate level and needs of potential clients based on energy & real estate data.

Compensation

Qualifications

Successful candidates will have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a science or math field or demonstrated quantitative ability

  • 0-3 years of work experience, including internships

  • A strong desire to learn and contribute to an entrepreneurial team

  • Working knowledge of energy systems and/or building operations is a benefit.

  • Personal & professional interest in furthering a clean energy future

  • Strong communication skills, someone who can use data to tell a story to various audiences
