Position Scope

The Lighting Product Manager is responsible for administrative project management tasks across the company’s lighting project portfolio. The Lighting Product Manager plays a role in shaping company-wide lighting recommendations and standard practices.

Responsibilities

Develop and own segment strategy with focus on key growth areas and opportunity pipeline creation.
Define value proposition and be the subject matter expert (SME) on segments and applications.
Be the Voice-of-the-customer (VOC): Identify customer problem, needs and requirements for solutions.
Provide communication management between Sales and Product Management.
Identify market and customer needs; work with Product Management to drive business cases for new product development and roadmaps.
Lead, manage and execute launch activities of new product introductions in close co-operation with Sales team and Product Management.
Propose strategic alliances and major projects together with Sales Teams.
Manage periodic technical and non-technical challenges that arise throughout the course of a project.
Communicate and coordinate regularly with all stakeholders including but not limited to property managers, building owners, building engineers and staff, subcontractors, manufacturers, and vendors.

Experience in product development and/or test method development
Knowledge of commercial product and system design along with energy efficiency
Familiarity with the development/delivery of public-private voluntary partnership programs.
Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information.
Ability to work with all levels of internal staff, as well as outside clients and vendors.
Ability to take ownership of tasks and seek input when needed.
Strong interpersonal skills and self-motivation.
Ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under strict deadlines.
Demonstrated interest and/or experience in climate- and sustainability-related areas.
Excellent written and oral communications skills.
Strong organizational skills and detail-orientation.

Qualifications

Successful candidates will have the following qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree, or higher education.
8+ years of product marketing and/or technical experience in lighting.
Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
Proven leadership track record with experience in managing cross-functional teams.
Academic and/or professional expertise displaying a strong interest in sustainability and/or energy efficiency.
Excellent oral and written communications skills.
Highly organized and detail oriented.
Ability to handle work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to identify and resolve project application issues with customers and contractors.
Team-oriented, hands-on, highly skilled, adaptive, and customer/client-focused.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook.
